Three ways this works

For venues

A comedy night that fills a quiet room

Bars, taprooms and clubs. A produced show rather than an open mic — booked talent, run to time, promoted before the doors open.

Our own shows

Shows we make ourselves

Not just booking other people's rooms. What a Rush produces its own nights — our line-up, our name on the poster, our audience.

How our own shows work

For audiences

Shows worth leaving the house for

Touring and regional comedians, in rooms close to home. What is coming up, where it is, and how to get in.

For events

Comedy inside a bigger event

Fundraisers, expos, company parties and private bookings. Entertainment that fits the room and the crowd it was booked for.

More about the work

Who runs it

Wysteria Rush

Producer, Tri-Cities, Washington

Wysteria has spent her career on the production side of live events. She coordinated custom and private events at Barnard Griffin and Goose Ridge Vineyards, then moved to Saatchi & Saatchi as a Senior Account Executive, where she ran sponsorships, activations, budgets and production schedules for a 26-dealership Toyota association across Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

A comedy show needs the same things any event does: a room, a bill, a budget, a run of show, and a producer who answers the phone. That is the part she takes off your hands.

She holds a BA in Societal Communication from Point Loma Nazarene University and sits on the board of Timm-Rush, Inc., her family's fifth-generation wheat farm in Harrington, where she also advocates for growers with the Washington Association of Wheat Growers.
